United Nations Volunteers Is Hiring an ICT Assistant 2024
UNICEF supports the Government of Pakistan to accelerate progress for children, work to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and help children realize their rights under the Convention on the Rights of Children.
This will be made through, among others things, strong partnerships with provincial authorities, teachers and health professionals, frontline workers and social mobilisers, communities and families, and of course the children and adolescents themselves.
The focus of the ICT digital Communications UNV is to establish messaging flows for RapidPro and Inform applications. Under the supervision of the ICT Officer/ICT Manager, liase with all programs to create two-way required messaging flows for sms and Whatsapp.
Task description
- Assist in organizing meetings with the program sections and operations units.
- Develop paper-based design flows and coordinate their approval with program sections and ops units. – Responsible for creating RapidPro workflows.
- Integration of Rapid Pro with inform.
- Integration of Rapid pro with all communication channels
- Assist the section in registration of all channels.
- Run Campaigns for all programs and Ops units. – Provide data to programs and ops for closed campaigns.

Candidate must be a national or legal resident of the country of assignment.

Required experience
1 years of experience in network administration, management of hardware and software platforms, telecommunications facilities, knowledge of Windows-based packages/applications.

Living conditions and remarks
As this is a national UNV assignment, the UN Volunteer will be responsible for arranging his/her own housing and other living essentials. UNV Field Unit will help you open a Pak rupee bank account with Standard Chartered Bank or any other local bank at your duty station.
