Background
Work closely with the UNICEF Nigeria Supply Section and Health Section Immunization Cluster to ensure that payments to third-party logistics providers by UNICEF, both for UNICEF operations and on behalf of the Government of Nigeria (NPHCDA), are compliant to the terms of the contract for the services requested, and any other statutory or third-party tariffs.
Task description
Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of the Supply & Logistics Officer, Abuja or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UNV Logistics Associate will carry out the following responsibilities:
ï‚· Maintain and update, as needed, records and checklists for the certification of logistics invoices for payment to customs clearance agents, service providers, or transport providers.
ï‚· Organize and safely control movement of documents shared by UNICEF Sections for invoice processing and submission of relevant document for compliance to enable processing.
 Create cost estimates for freight based on LTA’s, subject to request shared by the UNICEF Sections.
ï‚· Provide thorough reviews of logistics invoices in a timely manner ensuring that all invoiced items are consistent with contracted modalities and rates, including third party tariffs and payments.
ï‚· Manage a tracker of logistics invoice reviews, including (for example) statuses of Received,

Requirements
Required experience
3 years of experience in Supply chain operations, specifically logistics management or accounts management or a commercial context is required at the national level, experience working with the UN is an asset, or other international NGO or development organization;
ï‚· Other desired/mandatory required technical knowledge ï‚· Excellent oral and written skills; excellent drafting, formulation, reporting skills;
ï‚· Accuracy and professionalism in document production and editing;
ï‚· Excellent interpersonal skills; culturally and socially sensitive; ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners, including grassroots community members, religious and youth organizations, and authorities at different levels; familiarity with tools and approaches of communications for development;
ï‚· Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment; ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel;
ï‚· Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and email/internet; familiarity with database management; and office technology equipment;
ï‚· Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision; ability to work with tight deadlines;
ï‚· Desirable: valid national driver’s license and proven ability to drive manual gear 4×4 over rough terrain;
ï‚· Sound security awareness;
ï‚· Have affinity with or interest in diversity and inclusion within its workforce, irrespective of gender, nationality, religious and ethnic backgrounds, including persons living with disabilities, volunteerism as a mechanism for durable development, and the UN System.
