Why apply?
Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters are prestigious international masters, jointly designed and delivered by a group of higher education institutions.
They involve at least 3 institutions from at least 3 different countries, and multiple associated partners from the academic and non-academic world.
Typically, they include periods of study, research, traineeship, thesis preparation and defence.
Based on the academic excellence, the language skills and language exam results, the motivation letter, and the evaluation of the referees, out of all applicants approximately 100 will be preselected and invited to an online interview process.
Academic and English language knowledge, along with motivation and communication skills will be tested. Please note, the interview is not conducted face-to-face. Your answers to the random academic questions will be recorded by the system.
The procedure requires a webcamera and a microphone.
The recorded interviews togerther with the application will be evaluated by the Selection Commitee of the DAFM Consortium.

Specific requirements for Non-EU applicants:
DAFM can admit
– 16 non-EU applicants with an Erasmus Mundus scholarship (1.400 EUR/months for max. 24 months study period) and
– 5 non-EU applicants without scholarship but tuition fee free (for partner country student it is 9.000 EUR per year) per intake
(Approx. 600 EUR monthly is necessary to cover your living expenses.)
Maximum number of enrolled students per nation is two.

Awarded Bachelor of Science degree (min. 180 ECTS) in Agriculture, Food Science and Biotechnology, Environment and Bio-Resources Management, Landscape Architecture and Landscape Planning, Forestry or related relevant fields.

For graduates of bachelor’s programs which are not listed above, mastery of the following learning outcomes (evidenced by ECTS) is required for admission. At least 68 ECTS from the following areas:
• Natural science: min. 20 ECTS
• Plant production: min. 10 ECTS
• Animal Science: min. 10 ECTS
• Economic Sciences: min. 10 ECTS
• Food Science: min. 10 ECTS
• Technological Sciences min. 8 ECTS
While you must necessarily have obtained your first higher education degree at the time of enrolment, the EMJM DAFM consortium accepts applications from students in the last year of their first higher education degree ONLY FROM WITHIN THE EU.
The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English.
In most cases you can request a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original.
It is required that you send verified copies of the entry qualification documents directly to the university by post. Important! Never send original documents by post!
Sending verified copies of the required documents is asked only from the selected applicants in the end of the selection process.

English Language Proficiency
English Language Skills min. at level B2 of the Common European Framework of References for
Languages (CEFR). Equivalent tests and their required minimum scores are as following:
– Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English
– IELTS score 6.0 or better
– TOEFL (paper based 577 or computer-based 233 or 90-91 internet based)
– TOEIC (at least 785 points)
– First Certificate in English (FCE)
– Certificate in Advanced English (CAE)
– Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE)
– Business English Certificate (BEC) Vantage – at least “Passed”
– Business English Certificate (BEC) Higher
– Certificate in English for International Business and Trade (CEIBT)
– Bachelor diplomas gained in English speaking countries can be considered.

In this case university’s attesting the medium of instruction of the entire study programme of the applicant as being English, however due to the high interest shown in our degree programme, we warmly recommend to ALL applicants to provide an official international English language test.
