The International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) is excited to announce the launch of its Fund for Undergraduate Research Internship Programs for 2025. We invite motivated students with a passion for scientific inquiry to apply for IBRO this transformative internship experience, which promises to inspire the next generation of neuroscientists and foster a global community dedicated to brain research.
Who Can Apply?
This IBRO funding opportunity is open to established research internship programs focused on providing neuroscience research experiences to students from underrepresented backgrounds, particularly those currently enrolled in community colleges or primarily undergraduate institutions in the U.S. and Canada. Programs with demonstrated success in supporting underrepresented students in STEM, particularly neuroscience, are encouraged to apply.

Grant Specifications
Duration: IBRO Internships should last a minimum of 8 weeks. Grant Amount: Up to $25,000 USD is available to cover student stipends and associated program costs.The following expenses are eligible for funding under this program:Student Support: Stipend support for the student to cover living expenses during the internship, including travel and accommodation costs associated with their participation Laboratory Supplies: Costs related to laboratory supplies and consumables needed for the student’s research project, not exceeding 10-20% of the total budget.
