Minimum Requirements
- Doctoral Degree in Medicine, including residency training in a medical specialty, preferably Internal Medicine or Occupational Health in addition to a valid medical license/registration to practice in home country.
- Seven years of relevant clinical/medical experience including occupational health and travel medicine.
- Working knowledge (proficiency – level C) of English and intermediate knowledge (intermediate proficiency – level B) of another FAO official languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish).

Technical/Functional Skills
- Work experience in more than one location or area of work, particularly in remote settings.
- Work experience in the UN is desirable.
- Extent and relevance of experience in clinical medicine and occupational health, including travel medicine.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and in writing, and demonstrated ability to write clear and concise reports in English are considered strong assets.
- Working knowledge (proficiency – level C) of Italian would be an asset.
GENERAL INFORMATION
- Extension of fixed term appointments is based on certification of performance and availability of funds
- FAO reserves the right not to make an appointment.
- Appointment will be subject to certification that the candidate is medically fit for appointment, accreditation, any residency or visa requirements, and security clearances.
