In the context of the World Bank Group Strategy for Fragility, Conflict, and Violence 2020-2025, the WBG is making significant efforts to strengthen its ability to address such challenges.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The Senior Operations Officer will have a dual reporting – to the GTFS2 Practice Manager (full line) and to the Country Managers for Chad and Niger (dotted line).
Key responsibilities will include:
• Support the relevant Country Management Teams to help tailor the design and delivery of Bank programs in specific FCV contexts – including providing strategic leadership on FCV issues; advising on and contributing to FCV elements of the country dialogue; and ensuring that the design and delivery of operations adequately reflect FCV-related challenges.

Selection Criteria
• Master’s degree in economics, law, social sciences, or another relevant discipline and at least 8 years of directly relevant experience.
• In-depth knowledge and experience working on FCV issues, and in conflict-affected situations; demonstrated experience applying this understanding to operations, analytical tasks, and strategy; ability to link political analysis and operational implications; understanding of working with diminished client capacity and relevance of partnerships.
