Duties and Responsibilities
Trade, Investment and Innovation Division / Section of Innovation, Enterprise and Investment is seeking an intern to join our Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) team.

The intern will play a critical role in supporting our work developing member States’ FDI attraction skills and capacity in the Asia Pacific region.
The positions work will include economic research and writing for the annual FDI trends publication of the Innovation, Enterprise and Investment Section, communicating with governments, private sector organizations

Organizational Skills:
o Strong time-management abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
o Experience in event coordination is a plus. Communication Skills:
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
o Ability to professionally engage with diverse stakeholders, including government officials, private companies, and international organizations.
Desirable Qualifications:
o Experience working with external stakeholders (government or private sector). o Knowledge of FDI, international trade, or economic development trends in the Asia-Pacific region.
The internship is UNPAID and full-time. The minimum duration of an internship is minimum three months and can be extended up to a total of six months.
Qualifications/special skills
To qualify for an internship with the United Nations Internship Programme, applicants must meet one or more of the following requirements: a) be enrolled in,
or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher) in computer science, web development, economic, finance, innovation, international relations related to science and technology,
Languages
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
