
WHO Consultant – Climate And Health Investment Initiative 2025.
The World Health Organization (WHO) is seeking a skilled Consultant for the Climate and Health Investment Initiative for 2025. This critical role is aimed at integrating climate change considerations into health investments to enhance resilience and promote public health. The Consultant will work with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative strategies and frameworks that address the health impacts of climate change while mobilizing resources for effective interventions.

Qualifications, experience, skills and languages
Educational Qualifications:
Essential:
Advanced university degree in sustainability, environmental/natural science, business administration, general engineering, or a related field.
Desirable:
Degree, diploma, or certification in environmental sustainability, sustainable product manufacturing, supply chains with a focus on environment/climate change.WHO
Experience
Essential:
- Over 10 years of cumulative professional experience spanning the private, public, or development sectors, and combining global, national, and industry-specific expertise relevant to the role. Who
- Extensive background in environmental sustainability, with progressively increasing responsibilities in leading large-scale sustainability programs and initiatives.Â
- Experience in mitigation and decarbonization projects.Â
- Proven experience in designing, leading, and delivering advanced analyses to support investment decisions, business and investment case development.Â
- Experience in demonstrating an understanding of climate and health challenges related to Unitaid’s work.
- Relevant experience at the intersection of climate and health.
Desirable:
- Experience working with products within Unitaid’s portfolio or relevant global health and product organizations, industries, or supply chains.
- Proven experience in leading decarbonization projects, providing technical support to stakeholders, and managing environmental WHO risk assessments or climate adaptation initiatives, particularly in relation to global and regional supply chains and healthcare products.Â
Skills/Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of Unitaid’s mission, portfolio, and relevant regulations.Â
- Strong knowledge of global environmental sustainability, key frameworks, and best practices.Â
- Understanding of health product markets and sustainability challenges, particularly in Low and Middle-Income Countries, and insights into global supply chains.Â
- Skilled in analyzing product investments and markets with a focus on sustainability.Â
- Ability to interpret technical studies, life cycle assessments, and ESG standards.Â
- Excellent collaboration and influencing skills to drive results in dynamic teams.Â
- Sound judgment and a strong curiosity about climate issues and continuous learning.Â
- Proficient in writing technical reports for senior audiences.Â
Languages and level required (Basic/Intermediate/Expert):
Essential:
- Expert knowledge of English
Desirable:
- Intermediate knowledge of French
