Austria Multi-Country Office (AUMCO)
The Austria Multi-Country Office (AUMCO) is part of the UNOPS Europe and Central Asia Region (ECR). Specifically, AUMCO aims to enable achievement of Agenda 2030 and the Paris Agreement through global programmes and tailored interventions in the Balkans, South Caucasus, and Central Asia, focused on:
- Infrastructure
- Procurement
- Project Management (full service, back on track)
- HR and Transactional Services
- Grants Management
- Technical and Advisory Services
Summary of functions:
- Logistics Management (60%)
- Travel/Transport Management (30%)
- Operational Support (5%)
- Knowledge Management (5%)
Logistics Management:
- Assist the project team in updating Logistics Plans for the procurement projects and support the implementing of the plans.
- Be responsible for liaison and follow up with the suppliers in order to timely delivery of equipment/ goods as agreed in the UNOPS Purchase Order (PO).
Operational support:
- Support the project team in organizing all payments related documents in a timely manner.
- All POs issued to the suppliers are recorded, followed up and reported with progress status in a timely manner.
Knowledge Management:
- Participation in the training events for the programme, operations and projects personnel on logistics and transport related subjects.
- Sound contributions to knowledge networks and communities of practice.
Education:
- High School Diploma with three years relevant experience is required.
- A First-level University degree (Bachelors or equivalent) preferably in Logistics, Business Administration, Project Management, Social Sciences or related fields or a Diploma preferably in management, Logistic management, transport or related fields is an advantage and may substitute relevant experience.

Certification:
- Possession of valid Driver’s license is required.
Work Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience is required for this role. A first University degree (BA) is an asset and may substitute for 3 years of professional experience .
