Wageningen University aims to attract talented international students to its international classroom by offering several scholarship opportunities. Below you will find an overview of the scholarships available for prospective international MSc students.
The scholarship programmes offered by Wageningen University are for prospective students only. WU does not offer scholarship programmes for students who are starting their 2nd MSc year.

NL Scholarship
The NL Scholarship is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, Dutch research universities, and universities of applied sciences.
Students eligible for this scholarship are students from selected countries who are applying for the first year of a Master’s programme at Wageningen University.
Unfortunately, Wageningen University is not participating in the NL Scholarship for the academic year 2025-2026.

The Anne van den Ban Fund (ABF)
The Anne van den Ban Fund allows talented students from developing countries to study at Wageningen University. The scholarships are assigned to students in close cooperation with the university and are combined with the WU Fellowship Programme.
Excellence Programme
With the Excellence Programme, Wageningen University aims to attract excellent students who have a prospect of doing a PhD after their MSc graduation.
