The Green Climate Fund (GCF) is excited to announce immediate openings for HR Operations and Data Specialists in 2025! Purpose 

  • Oversee the implementation, configuration, and continuous improvement of HRIS platforms and other HR applications to meet organizational needs.
  • Perform hands-on configuration and deployment of new HR systems, ensuring alignment with organizational requirements and best practices.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integration across platforms by establishing robust workflows, processes, and policies.
  • Lead the evaluation and adoption of new HR technologies to enhance operational efficiency and employee experience.

Engagement

  • Collaborate with IT, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure HR systems are up-to-date, compliant, and capable of supporting strategic objectives.
  • Act as the primary liaison between HR and technical teams to address system-related issues and implement enhancements.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand their requirements related to HR operations, data reporting, and analytics.
  • Manage HR technology implementation projects from initiation to completion, including planning, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Develop and deliver training for HR staff and end-users on the effective use of HR systems and tool.

Requirements (Education, experience, technical competencies required of the job)

  • Master’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Data Analytics, HR, Business and Administration, or relevant fields. Bachelor’s degree in similar fields with an additional two years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the Master’s degree requirement.
  • At least nine (9) years of experience managing HR systems and data analytics in international organizations or comparable environments.
  • Proven experience in implementing and configuring HR systems, including hands-on involvement in system setup and customization.
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., Oracle) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Strong analytical and project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Extensive experience designing and implementing HR dashboards and translating metrics into actionable insights.

  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • In-depth understanding of HR functions, including talent management, compensation, benefits, and workforce planning.
  • Knowledge of global HR practices and compliance frameworks, particularly in international organizations.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are essential for this position; Knowledge of another UN language is an advantage.
