Are you eligible?
To be eligible to apply for a WIPO internship, you must be enrolled in a first-level or advanced university degree or have completed a degree within the past two years. Students enrolled in a first-level university degree must be in their 3rd or 4th year or in a program that requires the completion of an internship as part of the degree requirements.
You must also have a very good knowledge of English and/or French.

We welcome applicants of diverse geographical backgrounds and of all genders.
Category I
- Students or holders of a first-level degree and students pursuing an advanced degree
- 1,645 Swiss francs monthly stipend, including a local transportation allowance of 70 Swiss francs (at WIPO Headquarters)
- 2-6 months in duration
Category II
- Holders of an advanced degree or graduate students having completed their coursework, but not the thesis
- 2,170 Swiss francs monthly stipend, including a local transportation allowance of 70 Swiss francs (at WIPO Headquarters)
- 2-12 months in duration.

To apply for an internship, you must submit your candidature through the Internship Roster, which is advertised year-round. We review the Roster regularly and consider profiles for specific internship opportunities. If your application is a good match for an opportunity, we will contact you directly.
