About the Pension and Endowments Department (PEN): The Pension and Endowments Department (PEN) manages over $40 billion US dollars invested across the spectrum of asset classes, from fixed income to private equity and hedge funds. The Pension Administration Division (PENAD) is part of PEN and has two teams located in the Bank’s offices in Washington, DC, and Chennai, India.

Duties and Accountabilities: The Financial Analyst is a key member of the team. The work implies frequent interaction with internal counterparts in Treasury, Legal, Accounting/Tax, and Human Resources. The duties include:
• Identifying systems problems and recommending enhancements and opportunities for automation.
• Resolving issues and providing information related to the Staff Retirement Plan (the Plan) through in-person contacts, correspondence, and telephone conversations with active staff members, retirees, and other beneficiaries.
Selection Criteria
• Master’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (4 years of experience for Bachelors’ degree holders).
Competencies:
• Integrity and Independence – Prepares accurate reports, ensuring that pertinent facts are fairly presented; shares information freely.
• Accounting and Transaction Processes (PENAD) – Understands the coding, fund management structure, and accounting (cost and expense) flows in the ERP system.
