
WHO National Professional Officer (Rehabilitation) 2025.
The World Health Organization (WHO) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of National Professional Officer (Rehabilitation) for 2025. This essential role is focused on advancing rehabilitation services to improve health outcomes and quality of life for individuals with disabilities and other health conditions. The National Professional Officer will collaborate with healthcare providers, policymakers, and community organizations to develop and implement effective rehabilitation strategies and programs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Essential: University degree (bachelor’s degree or higher) in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, medicine, public health, physiotherapy, occupational therapy or social sciences.
Desirable: Master’s degree (or higher) or postgraduate training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, medicine, public health, physiotherapy, occupational therapy or social sciences.
Experience
Essential: At least two years of national work experience in the field of disability, rehabilitation, assistive technology and policy, services and systems.
Desirable: Relevant work experience in an international environment such as WHO / UN, governmental/public, intergovernmental organizations and/or non-governmental organizations. Experience in drafting and implementation of national policies and regulatory documents especially in the sphere of health, rehabilitation and assistive technology.
Skills
Excellent analytical and writing skills.
Demonstrated ability to work within significant uncertainties in a rapidly changing environment.
Demonstrated ability to interact appropriately with high-level stakeholders, including senior officials.
Data management and data analysis skills.
Good computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet, Power point presentations).
Emotional intelligence; Ability to identify and manage one’s own emotions, as well as helping others to do the same.

REMUNERATION
Remuneration comprises an annual base salary starting at ILS 269,618 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave
