About FLEX Global 2027–2028

The FLEX Global 2027–2028 Programme offers eligible secondary-school students an opportunity to experience American education, culture and community life through an international academic exchange.

Funded and administered by the US Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the programme is implemented by American Councils for International Education in partnership with AFS-USA, Amideast and iEARN.

The FLEX Global programme builds on the legacy of the original Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) and Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) programmes.

Selected students spend an academic year in the United States, where they attend an American high school, live with a host family and participate in activities that encourage leadership, cultural understanding and personal development.

The exchange also allows participants to introduce their home countries, traditions and cultures to American communities. Discover FLEX Global +1
