About the WFP Business Support Assistant Job
The WFP Business Support Assistant – Integrated Risk Management will provide administrative, coordination, documentation, procurement, reporting, and compliance support to the DRM/SRSP team.
WFP is supporting the Royal Government of Cambodia in strengthening national systems for disaster risk management, shock-responsive social protection, and disaster risk financing. The Business Support Assistant will therefore play an important role in ensuring that administrative and operational processes are completed efficiently and according to WFP standards.
The position is particularly important because effective business support allows technical teams to concentrate on delivering programmes that protect vulnerable communities from disasters, climate-related shocks, and other crises.
WFP Business Support Assistant Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to perform a wide range of WFP Business Support Assistant responsibilities, including:
1. Partnership Agreement Support
The Business Support Assistant will help draft, review, finalize, and track Partnership Agreements and Field Level Agreements with government institutions, UN agencies, and NGOs. The position will also ensure that documentation follows WFP procedures, donor requirements, and internal rules.
2. Procurement and Administrative Support
The WFP Business Support Assistant will coordinate procurement requests connected to DRM, SRSP, and DRF activities. Duties include maintaining records, coordinating with Logistics and Finance teams, following purchase orders and delivery schedules, and supporting payment clearance.
3. Reporting and Documentation
The position will assist with internal reports, briefs, meeting notes, presentations, factsheets, and administrative updates. The successful candidate will also consolidate partner submissions and help ensure timely reporting to management and donors.
4. Programme and Team Support
The Business Support Assistant will organize workshops, missions, meetings, and field visits, while maintaining accurate programme files and administrative records. The role will also support workplan preparation and monitoring of deliverables.
5. Monitoring and Compliance
The WFP Business Support Assistant will monitor partner financial and narrative reports, procurement processes, and partnership activities. The position will help identify issues requiring corrective action and promote accountability and transparency.
The role may also support gender mainstreaming, communications activities, shock-responsive social protection, disaster risk financing, and emergency response coordination.
WFP Business Support Assistant Eligibility Requirements
Applicants for the WFP Business Support Assistant job in Cambodia should meet the minimum qualifications and experience requirements.
Candidates should have:
- Completion of secondary school education.
- A post-secondary certificate in a related field is desirable.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
