Internship Areas
Selected interns may work in one or more of the following areas:
1. Systems Transformation & Innovation
Interns will conduct policy research, contribute to innovation strategies, support systems transformation initiatives, and help document emerging development solutions.
2. Programme Delivery & Capacity Building
Successful applicants may assist with digital and AI initiatives, develop training materials, organize webinars, and support governments and development partners.
3. Data Policy & Governance
This area focuses on research related to data governance, digital rights, data protection, and responsible AI policy frameworks.
4. Data Analytics & Insights
Interns may collect and analyze datasets, develop dashboards, monitor digital strategy implementation, and translate findings into actionable insights.
5. Partnerships & Strategic Communications
Responsibilities include researching potential partners, drafting proposals, supporting outreach campaigns, and producing communication materials for digital innovation programmes.
6. Product Design & AI Tools
Participants may contribute to the design and testing of digital products, AI tools, apps, and web platforms used in UNDP country operations.
7. Research & Knowledge Management
Interns will help maintain digital knowledge platforms, curate research content, and support dissemination of innovation-related resources.
Eligibility Requirements
To apply, candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
- Be enrolled in a graduate programme;
- Be in the final year of an undergraduate degree programme; or
- Have graduated within the past year.
Candidates with academic or practical interest in digital technologies, AI, innovation, public policy, development, communications, or data analytics are strongly encouraged to apply.
